A new Twitter worm has been posting links using goo.gl on Twitter user's accounts without their knowledge. goo.gl is Google's url shortner and equivalent to tinyurl or bit.ly. The malicious link points to a rogue website that asks the user to install a fake anti-virus solution called Security Shield. Don't install Security Shield. This so called Security Shield anti-virus solution is a malware.

This sounds quite unlikely but its true. Only half of the messages in Twitter are in English. Japanese occupies the second spot. This fact came out in a study conducted by Semiocast, a data intelligence and research company. The anlysis done by Semiocast on 2.8 million tweets showed that only 50% of the tweets are in English. The top 5 languages used in Twitter are: English, Japanese, Portugese, Malay and Spanish.

On 23rd Feb 2010, Tweetmeme launched their Follow button. It has a very simple look and feel just like the ReTweet button. Its basically for website and blog publishers who want to encourage their readers to follow them in Twitter. The Follow button does not redirect the user to Twitter rather it uses the Twitter OAuth access just like the ReTweet button. It is a great way to increase your followers by providing your readers with a pretty cool option. Add it to every post so that its visible to your readers.
